Information related to Warsaw Pact:
It was signed on May 14,1955 by Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, East Germany, Poland, Romania, and Soviet Union.
Treaty was valid for 20 years, stated that if any of the signatories were attacked, the other
would render armed assistance.
The democratic revolution of 1989 in Eastern Europe heralded the end of the Warsaw Pact
and cold war between east and west.
On July 1,1991 Pact leaders declared it ‘non-existent’.
